Sod Easy™ Topsoil

●Topsoil Description: Regular grade topsoil with at least 10% Greenwaste-wood-fines added. Then we add 30% compost, and screened it to 3/8” (main rock colors & recent shades)
●Pros: Good mix of topsoil, organic material and compost to kickstart the growth. Especially in areas where sod is placed on barren, nutrient dead or rocky ground. It gives the sod a head start as it establishes its roots.
●Cons: More money. Less ideal in clay sub-soil with no added drainage. It will have better drainage while the compost decomposes. But the decomposition of the compost finally be gone and will cause settling. The deeper it is, the more it will settle. The really rich stuff seems to melt down over 1-1.5 years.
●Texture: Fine 3/8” wood chips and the rich ness of added compost to the blend.

Rich Earth™ Topsoil

●Topsoil Description: This topsoil is unique because it is our very highest grade native farm grown topsoil with all of the course organics screened down to 1/4”. Less likely to melt away, but still loaded with the finer black rich nutrients in farm soil. (main rock colors & recent shades)
●Pros: Straight rich topsoil with the finest 1/4” organics and without any larger organics. Less likely to melt and make the ground settle as larger organics do over a year or so. Really nice to plant in.
●Cons: More money, No kick starting compost power that adds rich nutrients. When it rains it is hard for us to screen it down to 1/4”. So it is best in dry weather.
●Texture: Ultra fine texture because this topsoil is screened to 1/4”.

Garden Blend™ Topsoil

●Topsoil Description: This blend takes our best fine Rich Earth topsoil and adds 30% compost and 10% sand to the mix to kick up the growth rate and allow it better drainage. (main rock colors & recent shades)
●Pros: This blend gives our best farm grown topsoil a boost with the compost. And enhances the drainage and root growth with sand added.
●Cons: More money. The compost will melt in 1-1.5 years which causes settling. The deeper it is, the more it settles.
●Texture: With the farmland topsoil and the added compost and the sand added, it has a little more texture.

Marvel Mix™ Topsoil

●Topsoil Description: This final blend has our best farm grown topsoil with 20% sand added, 3-4% pumice added and 50% compost added. This gives plants the best kickstart with great drainage to protect them from too much water and an easier time expanding their root systems. (main rock colors & recent shades)
●Pros: For gardens or critical growth boost, this gives both the fine rich farmland topsoil and the boost that comes with compost. Also increased drainage with pumice and more sand. Great for clay subsoil.
●Cons: More money, will melt down some over a year or so because of the compost added. The deeper, the more it will melt/settle.
●Texture: As rich as good black topsoil can be in Utah.
